Clarence E. (Sandy) Beck, 62,died at his home on route 5, at 9:20 p.m. Monday. He had been in ill health since April, 1953. Funeral services have been arranged for 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Emanuel Lutheran Church, the burial to follow in Fairview cemetery. Rev. Rudolph Ritz, of Kokomo, will officiate at the service. Friends may call at Leathermen- Morris Funeral home after 7 p.m. today. The body will lie in state at the church from 2:30 Thursday until the hour of service. One of a family of eight children, he was born Jan. 10, 1899 in Tipton, the son of Charles H. and Margaret (Heisser) Beck, On April 16, 1922, he was married to Nellie
Garhart and they were the parents of two children. A farmer and mechanic, he had attended Tipton county schools. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran church, Lions Club and American Legion. Surviving are the widow, two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Margaret) Hannah and Mrs. Kenneth (Harriet) Strode, two brothers, Luther Beck, of Tipton; Arthur Beck, route 5, and five sisters, Mesdames Walter Wesimiller, Tipton county, Phillip Yontz, of Tipton;,James Weismiller, Lewis Teuscher and Orville Schulenburg, all of Tipton county; and five grandchildren.
