Mrs. Charles Beck, 78, route 5, succumbed at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Walter Weismiller, Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. following an illness of approximately three years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. at Young's Funeral home and at 2 p.m. Friday at Emanuel Lutheran church, where she was a member.
Officiating at last rites will be Rev. O. R. Schlegelmilch pastor of the church. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral home
where friends may call after 7 p.m. tonight.
The former Margaret Heisser, Mrs. Beck was born southeast of
Arcadia on Sept. 24, 1878, the daughter of John and Dorothea
(Stahlhekfer) Heisser. She attended Mt. Pleasant school in that community. Her marriage to Charles Beck occurred April 25, 1897. The parents of eight children, the couple resided in Tipton and on route 5. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1947. Surviving with the husband are
three sons, Clarence, Luther and Arthur, all of Tipton; five daughters, Mrs. Walter Weismiller, Mrs. Philip Yontz, Mrs. James Weismiller, Mrs. Louis Teuscher and Mrs. Orville Schulenburg; four brothers, John Heisser, of Arcadia;
Peter Heisser, of Atlanta; Louis Heisser, of Cicero; Charles Heisser, of Champaign, 111., and a sister, Mrs. Anna Beck, of Arcadia. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
