Charles Henry Beck, 82, died at 7 a.m. Sunday st Tipton county hospital following an illness of three weeks. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Emanuel Lutheran church, where he was a member, with Rev. R.A. Ritz officiating. Burial win be in Fairview cemetery.
Friends may call at Young's Funeral home after 7 p.m. today
and until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday when it will be taken to the church to lie in state one hour before services.
One of six children, he was born to Francis and Sarah (Leips) Beck on March 5,1876 on the farm where he resided all of his life. He attended Dixon school. He and Margaret Heisser were married on April 25, 1897 at Arcadia and her death occurred
May 21,1957. They were the parents of eight children.
Surviving are three sons, Clarence, Luther and Arthur, all of
Tipton; and five daughters, Mrs. Walter Weismfller, Mrs. Philip Yontz, Mrs. James Weismiller, Mrs. Louis Teuscher and Mrs. Orville Schulenburg all of Tipton. A
sister Anna Doversberger, of near Frankfort, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.
