Agnes Seaberg 1913-1999

Agnes Sylvia Seaberg, 86, of Minneapolis, formerly of Bagley, died Friday, June 17, 1999 at the Unity Hospital in Fridley, Minnesota.

She was born April 30, 1913, at Spring Grove, Minnesota, the daughter of Syver and Signe (Berkvam) Nohre. She was educated in Holt, Minnesota, Thief River Falls, Minnesota and college in Bemidji, where she received her teachers degree.

She was teaching at Lake Itasca School at the time she married Fred Seaberg on December 24, 1943. The following year, they purchased a farm two miles from Zerkel, Minnesota. They moved to Bagley in 1957, and in 1966, the purchased the Bowling Alley. They moved to Long Lost Lake in 1973, and moved back to Bagley in 1988. Since May 1995, the lived at Chandler Place, a retirement home in Minneapolis. She taught in rural schools and finished her teaching career at Bagley, retiring in 1974 after teaching for 36 years.

Survivors include her husband, Fred Seaberg of Minneapolis; sister, Hilma Horien of Thief River Falls; brother, Oscar Nohre of Grants Pass, Oregon; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer and Hank.

Funeral services were Tuesday, June 22 at Grace Free Lutheran Church in Bagley with Rev. Lyle Twite officiating. Interment will be at the Bagley City Cemetery with arrangements by the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley.
