"Funeral services for Mrs. George Landis, Independence, where held at 1:30 p.m. Monday Oct. 4 at the White Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Wayne Carlson, pastor of the First Methodist church officiated and burial was in the Oak Hill cemetery at Colesburg.
Mrs. Landis died at 8 a.m. Friday Oct. 1 at People's Hospital. She was born Margaret Emily Bolsinger at Colesburg July 9, 1883, the daughter of James K.P. Bolsinger and Ida Mae Chapman Bolsinger.
Survivors include two daughters Virginia and Gail Landis, Independence; two brothers, J.C. Bolsinger, Colesburg and Edward Bolsinger, Manchester; one sister Mrs. Robert Bush, Elkader.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1949, one brother and one sister."
