Jason Freeman was born in Houston, Arkansas, August 28, 1920 to Henry Brent and Geanie Freeman. He peacefully went on to his heavenly home on Nov. 30, 2009. The family moved to Madera, CA when he was four years old. His dad was a cotton farmer and had a stroke when Jason was in eighth grade. Jason had to quit school and go to work to help support his parents and three younger sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters also his beloved grandson Brent. He has two surviving sisters; Nadine Dailey of Beaverton, Oregon and Verline Mendoza of Madera, CA. Six children; Anne and Bob Miller of Wallace, Idaho, Geanie and Wayne Stair of Redlands, CA, Virgil Jason Freeman of Brentwood, CA, Timothy Wallin and Melody Freeman of Willow Creek, CA, Ginger and Gene Sarvinski of Ferndale, CA and Melody and Randy MacMillan of Carlotta, CA. Grandchildren: Julie and Chris Hartwig of Las Vegas, Nev. Timothy and Heather Stair of Redlands, CA, Carly Stair of Berkeley, Jamie Stair of Red1ands, CA, Jason Freeman of Oroville, CA, Jeremy and Branden Freeman of Portland, OR, Chris and Nephtelie of Redding, CA, Alissa Sarvinski of Hollister, CA, Casey and Silas Sarvinski of Ferndale, CA, Ryann MacMillan of Fresno, CA, Amy, Lily and Sierra of Carlotta, CA. Great-grandchildren; Reed and Blake Morris of Las Vegas, NV, Reid and Hadliegh Stair of Red1ands, CA and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jason served in WWII for three years in New Guinea and the Philippines, receiving the Purple Heart and other medals. He was a cement mason for over forty years in Walnut Creek - Concord area and owned his own batch plant. He was Secretary of Cement Mason's Local for 10 yrs. He married the love of his life Wynema Wallin in 1946. They lived in Oakley, CA for thirty years and moved to Loleta in 1970. Jason built their home in Oakley and 20 x 40 swimming pool and remodeled their home in Loleta. He was custodian bus driver for Loleta Elementary school and built the kitchen, library, sidewalks and benches. He installed two water fountains at the ball park in Ferndale and did the cement foundation for the gazebo in the town park. After his retirement, he worked with good friend Arney Peterson building dairy barns. He also made countless cement benches, water fountains, bird baths and "creatures" free formed. He was a Christian, a man of integrity and honesty and most loving husband and father. He and his wife Wynema were married for 63 years. They camped in twenty five states from Alaska to Florida. His life was devoted to God and his family lovingly. Memorial services to celebrate his life are Sunday, Dec. 6th at the Loleta Fire Hall at 2:00 p.m
