On Palm Sunday, Marie Rowe-McGee, age 91, departed this life for the next. She had been looking forward to celebrating Easter with her family and friends at San Joaquin Gardens and at the First Baptist Church in Fresno. Instead she will be enjoying the reward of her Christian faith, the comfort of Easter with her Lord and Savior. She did not fear death because she knew, as Jesus promised, it is the door to new life and she would again be with her family and friends who preceded her.

Marie enjoyed her family and friends. She loved growing up on a farm and being a farmer's wife. She was active in the Baptist Church all her life and a member of the Rebecca Lodge.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband's, W.H. Rowe and Pete McGee; and her son Richard Rowe.

She is survived by her son, Walter B. Rowe of Clovis; her brother, Jason Freeman of Ferndale; her two sisters, Nadine Daly of Beaverton, Or., and Verline Mendoza of Madera; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at San Joaquin Gardens Chapel, 5555 N. Fresno Street in Fresno, Ca. on Thursday, April 9, 2009, at 10:00 a.m.

A Graveside Service will be held at Arbor Vitae Cemetery in Madera, Ca. on Thursday, April 9, 2009, at 3:00 p.m.

Remembrances may be made to the Donor's Favorite Charity.
