Pearl Blevins, 77, of Bakersfield, Ca, formerly of Galesburg, IL, died at 8:45 PM Thursday June 27, 2002 at her home.
She was born November 25, 1924 in Galesburg, IL to Fred W. and Clara Anna Rebecca (Schultz) Greene. She first married Frank E. McDowell January 8, 1941 in Galesburg. She later married Robert L. Blevins on November 24, 1973 in Galesburg, IL. He preceded her in death February 5, 1983.
She is survived by a son, Clifford Wayne McDowell of Phoenix, AZ; two daughters, Carol Anne Cole of Bakersfield, CA and Dixie Lee Weller of Green Castle, VA; a brother, Harold Greene of Galesburg, IL and a sister, Gladys Anderson of Abingdon, IL, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five sisters and a grandchild.
She was an assembler for the former Outboard Marine Corp, Gale Product Division in Galesburg, IL for over 20 years and retired in 1983. She was an avid golfer and bowler. She lived in Galesburg most of her life.
