Charleston - Funeral service for Mrs. Roderic R. Ashby, 54 years old, of Charleston was held today at the United Methodist Church here. Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery, Charleston.
Mrs. Ashby, the former Miss Jeanette Fox, was born Feb. 26, 1921 in Mississippi County. She was a lifelong Charleston resident and member of the United Methodist Church here. On Nov. 19, 1943, she married Roderic R. Ashby, who died Dec. 10, 1973.
Surviving is a son, Roland Ashby; a daughter, Mrs. Charlie Babb; mother, Mrs. Josephine Fox; brother, Leslie Fox; sister, Mrs. James A. Bush; and two grandchildren.
