Mrs. Susie Tandy, 59, who died at her Weatherford home, was the daughter of Mrs. J.M. Abbott of Olney.

Mrs. Tandy lived in southwestern Young County for 34 years before moving to Parker County, Texas. Services were held at the graveside.

She was brought to Texas by her family at an early age and came to Young County as a young girl in 1903.

She married E.H. Tandy and the couple moved to Weatherford in 1937.

Survived by her husband; one son - Ben H. Tandy of Weatherford, four daughters - Mrs. Ruby Reed of Lovington, NM, Mrs. Fread Ford of Eastland, Mrs. Nora Lee Hoffman of Weatherford, Mrs. Gorda Warren of Brownfield; her mother - Mrs. Abbott; four brothers - Oliver and Luther Abbott of Padgitt, Oscar Abbott of Newcastle, Arthur Abbott of Roy, NM; six sisters - Mrs. Lizzie Gannon of Spur, Mrs. Emma Thomas of Van Nuy, CA, Mrs. Kate Simpson and Mrs. Viola Kee of Lubbock; Mrs. Dixie Davison of Murray, Mrs. Alice Heard of Olney; 12 grandchildren.
