Harold Ray Province, 73, of 617 S. Seventh St., Cambridge, died Thursday (June 14, 1990) at Guernsey Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 18, 1916, at Parkersburg, W.Va., son of the late Samuel and Effie Cox Province. He was a retired employee of St. Joseph's, Parkersburg. He was a Protestant by faith and attended the Salvation Army.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Murphy.
Mr. Province leaves his wife, Mary Milstead Province, whom he married April 21, 1936; three sons, Harold R. Province Jr. of Williamstown, W.Va.; Louie Province and Stephen Province, both of Cambridge; four daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Laura) Gadd of Cambridge; Mrs. Clarence (Diana) Dudley of Byesville; Mrs. Don (Charlene) Myers of Parkersburg; and Susan DeCost of Cambridge; one brother, the Rev. Lawrence Province of Parkersburg; one sister, Mrs. Leona Coza of Parkersburg; 30 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at McGaughy - Black Funeral Home, where services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday with Capts. Steve Davis and William Brewer officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
