Masonic Rites Are Accorded William Gilbert

Masonic funeral rites for William Edward Gilbert, 75, of 196 Madison Street, who died in Coalinga, December 11, were conducted Monday in the Adcock-Bragg Mortuary Chapel. Burial was in Grangeville Cemetery in Armona.

Mr. Gilbert was born December 26, 1882, in Viola, Illinois. He came to Coalinga in 1918, where he had since resided. Mr. Gilbert was a retired employee of the Whittier Oil Company.

He is survived by his wife, Mamie Louise; a son, Ralph E. Gilbert of Coalinga; a grandchild and two great grandchildren of Merced.

Mr. Gilbert was a member of Coalinga Lodge No. 387, AF&M for 32 years a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Royal Arch Masons.

The Coalinga Masonic Lodge conducted the funeral rites.

Mr. Gilbert, ill for the past two weeks, died of a generalized internal infection.
