STATESBORO, Ga. - Mrs. Betty Sue Allen Lowery, age 75, died Monday, November 3, 2008, at her residence under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. The native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County was a self-employed child care provider. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. Mrs. Lowery was preceded in death by her husband, Breman Lowery. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Tim Adams and Becky and Lavon Newsome, all of Statesboro; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dale and Pam Lowery and Randy Lowery, all of Statesboro; two sisters, Doris Bradley and Linda Allen, both of Statesboro; two brothers, Barney Allen Sr. and Donald Allen Sr., both of Statesboro; six grandchildren, Jerry (Jennifer) Jordan, Robbie Whisenant, Jody Hodges, Casey Hurst, Beth Lowery and Ashley McDaniel; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with the Rev. James Barnes and Elder W.I. Tidwell officiating. Interment will be in the Bulloch Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Levy Lowery, Ricky Miller, Robert Lowery, Barney Allen Jr., Eldgerine Dixon and Billy Grey. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, P.O. Box 531, Statesboro, Ga. 30459. Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home of Statesboro is in charge of arrangements.
