She was a daughter of Caesar Kapaakea and Keohokalole and was the sister of King David Kalakaua and Queen Liliuokalani. She married Archibald S. Cleghorn on September 22, 1870, and they had one daughter, Princess Victoria Kaiulani (1875-1899). Summer home at Kaawaloa-Kona. On Oahu, Route 63 honors her name, the "Likelike Highway."
