SIMMONS, Sarah E. (Deeter) Age 91 of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at the Brethren's Home following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter in 1987; parents, Jesse & Ada (Garber) Deeter; brothers, Henry, David & Oliver Deeter; sister, Miriam Deeter; grandson, Daniel Warner. She was a member of the Wolfcreek Old German Baptist Brethren Church. She previously lived in Versailles, OH from 1958-1972. She worked as a nurse in West Milton for Dr. Stout and she cared for many children in her life. She is survived by a son, Pastor Keith Simmons & wife Alice, Ft. Wayne, IN; step-daughters, Phyllis Warner & husband Norman, Brookville, Mary Ellen Filbrun & husband Paul, Covington, OH; 4 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Perry Deeter & wife Merle, Englewood; sister, June Garber & husband Carl, Clayton; dear friend, Nancy Stout and numerous other relative & many special friends, particularly those across the country & those who are at the Brethren's Home in Greenville. Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Monday, Sept. 18 at the Wolfcreek Old German Baptist Brethren Church with the Home Brethren officiating. Interment in Arlington Cemetery, Brookville. Prayer service will be held at the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE. Monday at 1PM. Visitation will be held at the funeral home 4-8 PM Sunday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Brethren's Home in Greenville. Envelopes will be provided.
