James Lawson was the son of Richard and Martha "Polly" Walling Pennington, who migrated to Houston Co. Texas in 1839 from White Co. Tennessee.
He married Louisa Catherine (Lou) Baker in Houston Co.
They moved at sometime to Amherst, Lamb Co. Texas.
His death certificate says he was a stock raiser, and died of old age.
