May 21, in the Caribou Memorial Hospital in
Soda Springs following an extended illness.
He was born Oct. 25,1908 in Georgetown,to Joseph and Elizabeth Smith Hayes. He married Vivian
Solum, Sept. 20, 1932 in Logan, Ut. Their marriage
was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He is survived by his wife of Georgetown; one daughter,
Mrs. Dave (Bonnie) Kunz, Pocatello; two sons, Leland
M. Hayes, Georgetown; Leonard C. Hayes, Camarillo,
Ca.; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two
brothers, Lilburn Hayes, Cokeville, Wy; Boyd W. Dimick, Desert Hot Springs, Ca. He was preceded in death by
four brothers, Frank, Joseph Smith, Harvey and Merlin;
four sisters, Evva, Lillian, Lillis and Maud. Funeral Services were Thursday in the Georgetown LDS Chapel.
Burial was in the Georgetown Cemetery. Arrangements
were under the direction of Matthews Mortuary.
