Frank Evan Hayes, 64, life long resident of Georgetown,
died at 2:35 a m., Tuesday in the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital. The son of Joseph S. and Elizabeth Smithm Hayes, he was born at Georgetown, November 16, 1895. Mr. Hayes was a farmer for many years, and since 1948 he operated the Hayes Grocery. Active in L. D S. Church and civic affairs, he served in theSunday School superintendency of the Georgetown Ward, and was a former member of the village
board, a school trustee and director of the Georgetown Irrigation Company.
Mr. Hayes and Hannah Smart were married September 2, 1914 in the Logan LDS Tempe Besides his widow, he is survived by
four daughters; Mrs. Eldon (Madge) Sorenson of Georgetown, Mrs. Jack (Gladys) Nevins of Pocatello, Mrs. Duane (Jean) Johnson of Georgetown, Mrs. Eugene (Leah Ann) Bills of Salt Lake City; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; four sisters, Mrs. Evva Dalrymple of Soda Springs, Mrs. William G. (Lillis) Johnson of Georgetown, Mrs. Clyde (Lillian) Phelps of Montpelier, and Mrs. Ed (Maud) Corbett of Salmon;
and five brothers, J. Smith Hayes of Salt Lake City, Merlin H. Hayes and Lilburn Hayes, both of Jackson, Wyoming, Wilford W. Hayes of Georgetown, and Boyd Dimick of Bellflower, California.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday in the Georgetwon L. D. S, Ward Chapel. Matthews Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
