Mother: Sarah YARNELL
Wife: Mary Hannah ADAMS
"So it was in the year 1857 when Sarah crossed the plains, carrying her baby [Ephraim] and pulling a hand cart with the help of the oldest son. Her [next to] youngest boy [Hyrum], who could not keep up with the company, fell behind and at night Sarah would have to go look for him not knowing if she would find him or not. But with the help of the Lord and her great faith, she reached the valley of the mountains with all four sons in safety."
