AUGUSTA HINGISS

The passing of Mrs. Adolph Hingiss, aged 77, was a shock to the citizens of Kiel Saturday morning, when news of her death circulated in the community.
She had suffered a stroke a few days previously, and passed away at her home early Saturday morning.
The deceased, nee Augusta Fischer, was born in the town of Centerville March 25, 1871. She was married to Adolph Hingiss on April 14, 1891, and the couple settled on a farm in the town of Centerville. In 1914 the family moved to Kiel, where Mr. Hingiss built a garage and went into business. She has been very active in the Frauenverein of the St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed church.
Survivors are her husband; three daughters. Mrs. Ben A (Linda) Bessler of this city, Mrs. Hugo H. (Emma) Sommers of Madison, Mrs. L. N. (Esther) Towers of Elgin, Ill.; three sons; August and Richard of Chilton, and Alfred in this city; two sisters, Mrs. Theresa Goeters, and Mrs. William Meyer of Sheboygan; two brothers, William and August Fischer of Cleveland; 11 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. One son and three sisters have preceded her in death.
