Joseph's wife was Catherine Tame, age 41. Listed children: Samuel Tame, age 20; Sinda Tame, age 14; Emma E. Tame, age 13; George Tame, age 10; Amanda Tame, age ; Hannah Tame, age 5; Thomas Tame, age 4; Pressie Tame age 3; John Tame, age 1 and James M. Lewis, age 21, also listed as a son.

Amanda Tame and Joseph Altmeyer were married on September 19, 1895, possibly in Dubois County, Indiana. They had one son, John Altmeyer.
Joseph Altmeyer died on January 21, 1900, and was buried in Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Huntingburg, Indiana.
In the 1900 Federal census, Manda Altmeyer was listed as a widow, living in Patoka township, Dubois County, Indiana. John Altmeyer, age 9, was her only son and living with them was Hanna Flames, the sister of Amanda Altmeyer.
On January 22, 1906, Amanda Altmeyer and Jonathan Emery "Roxy or Roxie" Burdett were married in Marion County, Indiana.
Roxy Burdette, age 44; Mandy Burdette, age 39; John R. Burdette (actually Altmeyer) age 20, were living in Indianapolis, Indiana, along with several lodgers in the 1910 Federal census. Roxy Burdette was a police officer and John Altmeyer was a machine hand in the steel industry.
On August 15, 1911, Amanda Tames Altmeyer Burdette died and was buried at Crown Hill Cemetery on August 17, 1911. She was survived by her husband and son.
