Deborah was born 25 February, 1816, in Preston, New London, Connecticut, to Reynolds and Abby Coombs Kenyon. She was the 1st of their 11 children, and named after her maternal grandmother.
She moved to Mexico, Oswego, New York at a young age, and in 1839, married Jason Curtiss, son of Elias and Hannah Curtiss.
In about 1860, Deborah and her family moved to Schroeppell, Oswego, New York.
After Jason's death in 1872, Deborah went to live with her son Erwin and his wife Ida until she died on 3 November, 1895.
She is buried with Jason at Sand Ridge Cemetery.
