ucinda Parish, was born on the 18th of September in 1842, Wayne County, Indiana and died at her home in Firth, Nebraska, October 8, 1924, age 82 years, 20 days, her husband having passed away in 1910.

She made her home with her parents until they moved to Marshall County. She attended the district school of her native county and after her change of residence she taught one year in the last named
county.

When she was quite young she united with the Methodist Episcopal Church and remained a member of the same until she died.

In 1866 she united in marriage to Harvey H Groves. After their marriage they remained for a period of time in Marshall County, Indiana and in 1871 they came to Nebraska.

To this union were born five children: Elmer F, Oliver P, Cora A, Charles W, Bertha C, three children having passed away while young.

Elmer and Cora are left to mourn the loss of a loving mother. She also leaves 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a sister in Indiana and a brother in Arkansas.

Funeral services were held at the home conducted by Rev Wagner, of Adams. She was laid to rest in Adams cemetery by the side of her husband and her children who had preceeded her to the other world.
