On January 16, at 10:30 am, there passed into the great beyond one of the oldest citizens of Firth,

James Parish, aged 63 years and 21 days.

The deceased has been ailing for years with the dreaded malady, asthma, and at times almost gave up hope and then again he would rally, only to be once more afflicted, till gradually, day by day, his vitality was worn beyond repair, the great Master Workman called him home and the wheels of life stood still.

Since the death of his wife some years ago Mr. Parish has resided with C M Isley here at Firth, but recently the latter moving to the country, he made home with his brother-in-law, H H Groves.

A short funeral was held at the home of H H Groves Sunday, January 17, and the body laid to rest beside his departed wife in the cemetery at Adams, Nebraska.
