Mrs. Mary Robinson Bascom
Mrs. Mary Robinson Bascom, 89, a resident of Niagara township died suddenly at 8 yesterday morning at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Earl C. Douglas.
Mrs. Bascom was born May 14, 1859, in Durham, Ontario.
She was married in 1884 to Henry C. Bascom. Two children were born of this union, a son, who died in infancy, and a daughter, Mrs. Douglas.
Mr. Bascom died in 1888 in Lansing where the couple then was living. Mrs. Bascom remained in Lansing until 1941, when she came here to make her home with her daughter.
She leaves her daughter, Mrs. Douglas, four granddaughters, Mrs. Winston Wills of Norway; Mrs. Robert W. Gerhardt, of Madison, and Mrs. James Adelmann, and Miss Patricia Douglas, Minneapolis, and seven great-grandchildren.
Private services will be conducted at 10 tomorrow morning at the David A. Asp Memorial Funeral home, in Norway. The Rev. N.R. Guilliat of St. Paul's Methodist, in Norway, will officiate. Buial will be in the Norway township cemetery.
