Hilbert—Mrs. Catherine Broehm, 77, of Hilbert, died Saturday at the home of her son, Harry, at Appleton, following a lingering illness.

Nee Catherine Wink, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wink, she was born May 20, 1868, in Germany, and came to America with her parents in 1884 and settled in Calumet County. She was married to Theodore Broehm on May 11, 1887, at Forest Junction, and they settled on a farm in town Brillion, Calumet County. Mr. Broehm preceded her in death in 1943.

Survivors are four sons, Harry of Appleton, Arthur, Arvin and William of Hilbert; two daughters, Mrs. Nora Hernke of Hilbert and Mrs. Frank (Clara) Abitz of Fond du Lac; 31 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren; seven brothers, Philip Wink of Wausau, Henry of Pickett, Charles of Fremont, Emil, Herman, John and Adolph of Forest Junction; two sisters, Mrs. Caroline Keller of Forest Junction and Mrs. Theodore Franzke of Brillion.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Eldreidge funeral home here and at the Peace Reformed church, Potter. The Rev. J. C. Rosenau officiated and burial took place in the parish cemetery
