FRITCH - Funeral services for Bessie Lee DeFries, 89, of 111 E. Lasalle, who died Wednesday, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Minton Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ron Trusler, pastor First Southern Baptist Church of Fritch, officiating, assisted by Mr. Dub Leonard.

Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery in Panhandle under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Casketbearers will be Matt DeFries, Billy East, Billy East, Jr., Dub Leonard, Burney Leonard, Ronnie Roles and Virgil Fox.

A housewife, she was a native of Brownwood, Tex., and a Hutchinson County resident for 42 years.

She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church of Fritch.

She is survived by two daughters, LaVerne East of Borger; and Helen Roles of Sunray; one son, W.C. "Bud" DeFries of Harrah, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. Donie Bishop of Ventura Calif.; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil in 1962.
