Died at 8 p.m. Sunday while attending services at the Roseland Pentecostal Church, Roseland. She was a native of Mississippi and a resident of Amite. Funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Roseland Pentecostal Church, the Rev. Ray Hudson officiating. Burial in Killian Chapel near Amite. Survived by her husband, Thomas J. Bennett of Amite; her mother, Mrs. Dora Howell of Tickfaw; three sons, Jack William Bennett, Thomas J. Bennett Jr. and James Lee Bennett, all of Amite; six daughters, Mrs. Maxine Soley, Mrs. Jennell Griffith, Mrs. Rose Mary Parnell, Mrs. Christine Allen. Miss Janice Bennett, all of Amite, and Mrs. Eunice Martin of Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Burns of Hammond and Mrs. Pauline Burns of Albany; six brothers, Louis Howell of Fluker, Jesse Lee Howell of Baton Rouge, Johnny, Wilson and Walter Howell, all of Tickfaw, and Felix Howell of Albany; and by nine grandchildren. Member of Roseland Pentecostal Church.
