Visitation and religious services were held at McKneely & Vaughn Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Howell officiating. Interment ws in the Lawrence Memorial Gardens, Independence.
He is survived by a daughter, Geraldine Howell, Independence; a sister, Mildred Berne, Holden; two grandsons, Melvin Joshua Foy and Bryan James Foy; a granddaughter, Helen "Chrissy" Johnson; and many extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Jim and Dora Howell; six brothers, Wilmer, Felix, James Louis, Johnny, Jesse Lee and Wilson: and three sisters, Myrtis, Verlis, & Pauline.
