She is survived by her two sons, Landon Berne and Dennis Berne; granddaughter, Amber Berne; grandsons, Shawn Berne and Dewayne Berne; great grandsons, Isaiah Berne, Logan Berne, Ethan Berne, and Jayden Berne.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mervin Berne; parents, James and Dora Howell; brothers, Walter Howell, Wilson Howell, Jessie Lee Howell, Johnny Howell, and Wilmer Howell; sisters, Merless Howell, Verless Howell, and Pauline Howell.
Mildred was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an active member in church and dedicated her whole life to God. Never making excuses in someone's time of sickness and difficulty, Mildred always put others first, taking time to care for them and pray for them in their time of need.
Services will be held privately, and she will be laid to rest next to her husband at Narretto Cemetery in Loranger, Louisiana.
