Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Garcelon, 45, died at the Fortuna hospital in Fortuna, Calif., following an extended illness.
Mrs. Garcelon (the former Mary Davenport) was born Sept. 29, 1917, in Myrtle Point, and died on her birthday Sept. 29, 1962. She was a graduate of Myrtle Point high school.
Survivors include her husband, Desmond Garcelon and two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Lorrene) Mosley and Ardyce Garcelon all of Fortuna; one son, Harold Garcelon of Los Angeles; parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Davenport of Myrtle Point; five sisters, Mrs. Herbert (Bernice) Haughton and Mrs. Elton (Lois) Schmidt of Los Angeles, Mrs. Beverly (Audrey) Holt of Corte Madera, Calif., Mrs. Frank (Delores) Larsen and Mrs. Robert (Lila) Ocheltree of Myrtle Point; four brothers, Ernest Davenport of Sheridan, Albert, Rodney and Lloyd, all of Myrtle Point; two grandchildren.
