James Andershock
Chesterton - James C. Andershock, 72, a lifetime Chesterton resident, died Friday at Porter Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 15, 1916 in Chesterton, a son of George and Emma (Borkowski) Andershock.

Mr. Andershock was a retired foreman of the Gary Screw and Bolt Works. After his retirement, he helped his son James at Andershock's Fruitland, Chesterton. Mr. Andershock was a US Army veteran of World War II.

On Nov. 16, 1946 in Chesterton, he married Helen Liss, who survives.

Also surviving are one son, James of Florida; two daughters, Joyce Andershock and Jamall Andershock and two brothers, George and Alvin, all of Chesterton; three sisters, Rose Parkes of Chicago, Theresa Andershock of Chesterton and Alice Feterick of Portage; and one grandson.

Services Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Rev. Lawrence Heeg officiating; burial St. Patrick's Cemetery. Edmonds and Evans Funeral Home.

James Andershock
