MRS. GEORGE ANDERSHOCK
CHESTERTON -- Mrs. Emma Andershock, 69, of RFD 2, died at 5 a.m. Sunday in Porter Memorial hospital after a long illness.

She lived on a farm here for 50 years and came to this country from Germany 52 years ago.

Born in Germany June 17, 1888, she was the daughter of John and Anna Borkowski [Borkowske]. She was married to George Andershock on Sept. 24, 1907 in Chesterton.

Surviving are her husband; four sons Edward of Michigan City, James, George and Alvin of Chesterton; three daughters, Mrs. Rose Parks of Chicago, Miss Teresa Andershock of Chesterton, and Mrs. Alice Feterick of Gary; and 18 grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic church. The Rev. Ralph Hoffman will officiate, and burial will be in St. Patrick's cemetery.

Anna came over from Poland in 1904 when when she was 16 years old and lived with an aunt in LaPorte County, Indiana.
