Timothy (Tim) Haberl, age 18, of 509 W. Highland died at 6:45 p.m. Friday, August 21, in a Waco hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West, the Rev. Bob Hajovsky as celebrant. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Haberl was born in Waco and lived in West all of his life. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, SPJST Lodge number 54, and the K.J.T. Society number 31. He would have been a senior at West High School and was a member of Future Farmers of America and the Deca Club.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Haberl of West; two brothers, Malcolm Haberl of Northcrest and Frank Haberl of Dallas; three sisters, Debbie Vochoska and Denise Kubacak, both of West, and Dolores Nemec of Waco; and a grandmother, Mrs. Julia Holacka of West.

Active pallbearers: Mark Tobola, Brit Tobola, Tyce Tobola, James Snelson, Jr., Charles Snelson and Pat Srubar.
Special pallbearer: Royce Zatopek, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers: Eric Hudson, Richard Busby, John Lenart, James Lenart, Raymond Schroeder, Richard Veselka and the West High School Senior Class of 1982.

Kotch Funeral Home of West was in charge of arrangements.
