Frank Anthony Haberl of Copper Canyon, Texas passed away February 4, 2015 at the age of 63. He was born December 27, 1951 to Aloysius Charles and Margaret (Holacka) Haberl in Waco, Texas. Frank grew up in West, Texas, and graduated from West High School. He received his bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University. Frank was a faithful employee, serving as the general manager of Goldstar Appliances and Lighting in Richardson, Texas for thirty-eight years. He married Susan Renee Pennington on August 31, 1991 in Lewisville, Texas. Frank and Renee shared a special love, a life enriched by the company of a loving family and wonderful friends. Traveling was one of their greatest joys. Their favorite destinations were spent on the beaches of Gulf Shores and Kauai. Deep-sea fishing off the Galveston coast was a passion he generously shared with many friends. He was an avid golfer, captain of his boat, and lover of the outdoors. Frank enjoyed cooking for others, and was known for his famous brisket, blackened red snapper and shrimp boils. A rescuer of many dogs throughout his lifetime, he will be remembered for his compassionate and kind heart. All kids loved Frank because of his easy-going and fun-loving spirit, a true kid at heart. Frank will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched.

Frank is survived by his wife of twenty-three years, Renee, and their faithful companion, Maggie; brother, Malcolm Haberl and wife Doris of Elm Mott, Texas; sisters, Denice Kubacak and husband Allan of West, Texas and Dolores Nemec and husband David of Woodway, Texas; and loving aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, A.C. and Margaret Haberl; brother, Timothy Haberl; and sister, Deborah Vochoska.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas.
