COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY - 03/19/1982
Mrs. Emma M. Burke Gardner, 93, of 4400 Hazelwood Ave., died Thursday at her home. She was a native of Marion County. Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Jean Kleinhelter of Lakewood, Calif., Mrs. Viola Sidebottom, Mrs. Ruth Bailey, Mrs. Clara Kelly, Mrs. Ann Schmuckie and Mrs. Shirley Burke; two sons, James and H. G. Gardner; 30 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at SS. Simon & Jude Catholic Church, 4335 Hazelwood Ave., with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation at Nunnelley Funeral Home, 4327 Taylor Blvd., will be after 9 a.m. Saturday.
