Loving and devoted wife, mom, gramma and GiGi was called to heaven on January 6, 2018 at the young age of 86. She was the second youngest of ten children born to Henry George and Emma Madissa Gardner on May 31, 1931 in Louisville, Kentucky. That is where she met her high school sweetheart whom she married shortly before he was drafted into the United States Navy, and stationed in Long Beach, California, during the Korean War. Upon his honorable discharge, they settled in Lakewood, California where they had lived for the past 60 years. Jeanne was a loan officer for her 25+ year career at Bank of the West, formerly Sanwa Bank. She retired in 1994 to enjoy her family and friends, tend to her gardens and spoil her grandchildren. Jeanne is survived by her daughters’ Kari Lynn (James), Kimberly (Raymond) and Kristine (Jason), eight grandchildren, Kristin (Robert), Ryan, Neil, Stefan, Sydney (Brent), Kaitlyn, Patricia Jeanne and Jacob, and her four great grandchildren Harper, McKenna, Kendall and Rylee. She also leaves behind countless nieces, nephews, unlimited number of friends and neighbors who will love and miss her dearly.
