Mr. Hiram Moody, born January 11, 1897 in Gassville, Arkansas passed away January 31st in a Fort Worth hospital.
He was a member of the First Baptist church at Paradise, Texas and taught Senior Adult Sunday School class. He was a wonderful husband and father.
Services were held at the First Baptist church at Bridgeport, conducted by Reverend Frank Shirley and Reverend Carter Lyles.
Survivors include his wife, Lona Moody; two sons, J. H. Moody, Jr. of Northridge, California and Emmett Moody of Smithfield, Texas; two daughters-in-law, Ermal and Earldine; four grandchildren, Merilynn and Rhonda Moody of Northridge, California and Gary and Kenny Moody of Smithfield, Texas; three brothers, E. L. Moody of College Station, Texas, John Moody of Bridgeport, and Loyd Moody of Paradise. One brother Henry preceded him in death. Five sisters, Mrs. Maude Easley of Tipton, Oklahoma, Mrs. Ruth Caruthers of Paradise, Mrs. Bertha Holt of Fort Worth, Mrs. Opal Guffee of Floydada, Texas, Mrs. Mildred Kelley of Paradise, and a host of relatives and friends.
Interment was in the Eastside Cemetery of Bridgeport.
