Robert Lincoln Fielding, born to Richard Lincoln and Sarah Smythe Fielding. Brother to Margaret Peters, Myrtle Olivia Norman, Isaac Jefferson Fielding, William John Fielding, and Loreta Mary Fielding.
He moved to Los Angeles in __.
He married Alice Nadine Moser 21 January 1922 in Los Angeles, CA.
He retired from the Department of Water and Power for the County of Los Angeles in __.
Grandpa raised homing pigeons. He sent messages back and forth with his friends in Los Angeles. He and Grandma belonged to a Pigeon Club.
He was very good with his hands and had a very smart mind. He built a van, when no one else had them.
He actually made the first design of the "under the truck spare tire holder" but someone else patoned it before him. So, he was out of luck for the money.
Sometime around 1968 - 1970 they moved to their property shared by the family in Groveland, CA. That was a wonderful place that I will remember and love forever. The grandchildren have many wonderful memories of the swimming hole, fishing, and playing cards in Auntie Ruth's trailer.
Grandpa was an excellent singer. We have a tape of him and his brothers singing old songs. He use to sit us kids on his lap and sing songs like "I Love You A Bushel and a Peck" to us. It's awsome to know you were loved.
