Former Trapeze Artist Expires; Rites Wednesday.
Mrs. Woodrow W. Hoffman, 38, formerly Miss Bernice Pea of Rushville, expired at 9 p.m. Saturday at her home in Crawford, Nebraska. Death was the result of a heart attack.
Mrs. Hoffman was born June 14, 1905, the daughter of William and Flora Jamieson Pea.
Besides the husband, who is stationed at Fort Robinson, near Crawford, she leaves her mother, Mrs. Flora Drennen of Rushville; two brothers, Logan Pea of Rushville and Leonard Pea of Acton, Indiana, and two sisters Miss Thelma Pea and Mrs. Aileen West of Alexander, Va.
Mrs. Hoffman for many years was a professional aerial artist and was associated with several circus companies. With one company she had toured the world, returning here a few years ago for a visit after one of her tours.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Wyatt Memorial mortuary here and interment will follow in East Hill Cemetery.
The body will arrive at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday over the B. and O. railroad and will be taken to the mortuary. Friends may call at the mortuary after noon Tuesday.
