Mrs. Bamert was born in Waldrup, MS, 27 Oct 1905 to Brantly & Georgia Etta Haire (Wm. Brantley & Lucretia Georgia Etta {Ulmer} Haire). She has been a resident of Dona Ana Co. since 1920. Verona married Fred S. Bamart, a native of Las Cruces, on 18 Jul 1923. They established a lifetime farming operation in Fairacres. Fred preceded Verona in death in Aug 1984. She was a longtime member of the Fairacres Bapt. Church. Survivors: 2sons: Carl Bamert & wife, Cookie-Muleshoe, TX & Fred J. Bamert & wife, Marky-Socorro, NM; dau: Nadine Dawson & husband, Lester-Las Cruces. 10 gch & many great-gch. Pallbearers will be six of Mrs. Bamert's grandsons. Honoary pallbearers will be her remaining granchildren.
