Willie was the son of John Edmond Hobbs and Mary Louise Grizzle.

Willie Hobbs,75,601 E. Collins St.,Dothan,died early Thursday morning at his home after a brief illness.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the Ward-Wilson Funeral Chapel with Major William Williford of the Salvation Army officiating. Burial will be in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery with Ward-Wilson-Brown Service Funeral Home Directing. The body will be at the funeral home until service time Saturday afternoon and the family will receive friends there from 7 until 9 p.m. tonight.
A native of Houston County,Mr. Hobbs had lived in the county and in Dothan his entire life. He was a retired truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sammie Mae Nolan Hobbs, Dothan, five daughters, ---, Mrs. Betty Sue Bigbee, Mrs. Earline Burton, all of Dothan, ---,Pelham,Ga., ----, Vidalia,Ga., six sons Willie Edward Hobbs, Arthur Dale Hobbs, Earl Hobbs, ---, all of Dothan, Winston Harrell Hobbs of Cowarts, Billy Sam Hobbs of Webb: one half brother Frank Henderson, Columbus,Ga. one half sister Mrs. Allie M. Jackson,Webb: 28 grandchildren,seven great-grandchildren,several nieces and nephews.
