Alice R. Jackson
Ashford- Alice R. Jackson, 73, a resident of Weeks Trailer Park in Asford, died late Wednesday night, July 22,1998 at her residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Holman Headland Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Wallace M. Duke officiating. Burial will follow in the Selma Baptist Church Cemetery in Dothan. The Family will receive friends from 5 until 7 tonight at the mortuary in Headland.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice, Inc. P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Ala.36302.
Mrs. Jackson was born and reared in Houston County, the daughter of the late Frank Henderson and Mary Lula Grizzle Henderson. She had lived in Webb most of her life before moving to Ashford a year ago. She was of the Church of Christ faith and was preceded in death by husband, Julian Milton Jackson.
Surviving relatives include: Four Daughters,Betty Ree Whitman, Panama City Fla., Margaret Mohr, Ashford, Angel Clark, Headland, Martha Whitehurst, Webb; three sons, Quinton James Hancock, Pensacola Fla., Earl George, Webb, Andy Jackson Columbia, 25grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great,great, grandchild.
Active Pallbearers will be George Mohr, Bobby Stoops, Preston Knowles Jr.,Ray Burkett, Billy Clark, Michael Alford.
