A native of Calumet County, she was born Dec. 2, 1900, in Jericho, the daughter of Edward and Katherine Bergen Criter.
On Nov. 24, 1921, she was married to Mr. Freund at Jericho. Mrs. Freund was employed by the Aluminum Specialty Co. of Chilton for 15 years until retiring in 1964.
She was a member of St. E1izabeth Catholic Church, Kloten.
Survivors are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Marge)Roberts of North Fond du Lac, Sister Rita Freund of Whitefish Bay, and Mrs. Ralph (Doris) Neuber of Chilton; two sons, Reno of Chilton and Gerald of North Fond du Lac; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by four sisters, Mrs. Serena Bloom of Oakfield, Mrs. Edna Puetz of New Holstein, Mrs. Bernice Cooper of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Leoba Schley of Waupun, and a brother, Ambrose Criter of Lomira.
Three sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.
The funeral Mass was at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, preceded by family rites at 10:30 a.m. at the Wieting Funeral Home, Chilton. The Rev. Paulinus Kraemer,pastor, was the celebrant. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
