Mrs. Brantley was a native of Washington County, the daughter of the late John Carlos Meeks and the late Sallie Josephine Amerson Meeks. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church. The loves of her life were her grandchildren, great grandchildren and cooking. Mrs. Brantley is predeceased by her husband Lonnie Thomas Brantley and her grandson Larry J. McAfee. -Survivors are her daughter Amelia B. McAfee (James) of Tennille; grandchildren, Patsy M. Dunn (Randy) of Tennille, Julie M. Orr (Allen) of Sandersville, and Lynn M. Gilbert (Bill) of Statesboro; and great grandchildren, Erik Orr, A.J. Orr, Anna Dunn, Rachel Gilbert and Brooke Gilbert.
