1850 Census of Highland Co, VA. She is listed as Virginia Hillingsworth, age 8, in the home of John & Rebecca (Mowrey) Malcomb. Error in enumeration! Should be Killingsworth.

Oren Morton's book, "History of Highland County Virginia", published in 1910, DID NOT list any families named Hillingsworth, but he DID list families named Killingsworth who were living in or had lived in Highland Co, VA.

1860 Census of Highland Co, VA. Same location, same John Malcomb home, name listed as Virginia Malcomb.

Highland Co Marriage Book 2, p. 272 gives her name as Virginia Malcom.

Marriage License/Certificate/Return has her name as Virginia Malcom, with mother's name given as Rebecca Mowry Malcom.

Birth parents are unknown at this time.
