Funeral services for Jerry Franklin Hooper, 44, who died as a result of an accident on April 30, 1976 were held May 3, at 2:00 p.m. at the Pentecostal Church in Hayti. Rev. R.W. Wells officiated and interment was in the Little Prairie Cemetery with the Dean Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hooper was born on August 26, 1931 in Dyersburg, Tenn., to Frank and Helen Howard Hooper. He was employed at the Goodyear Farm Tire Center here in Caruthersville at the time of his death.
Survivors include his parents, Frank Hooper of Savannah, Tenn., and Helen Johnson of Caruthersville; Four sons, Jerry and Dennis Hooper of Caruthersville, Michael Hooper of Jacksonville, Fla., and Tommy Hooper of Colstrip, Montana.
His former wife, Louise Wallace of Caruthersville and three step children, Ricky Dale Wallace, Sheila Wallace and Tina Wallace all of Caruthersville, Mo.; Five sisters; Wanda McFarlon of Steele, Mo., Linda Babbett of Hughes, Ark., Peggy Vance of Eldon, Ill., Nora Seaton of Hughes, Ark. and Rebecca Bargett of Caruthersville. Three brothers James Ed Hooper of Jacksonville, Fla. and Roy Wayne and Ricky Hooper of Caruthersville.
His grandparets: Claude Howard of Caruthersville and Nora Childress of West Memphis, Tenn., and two grandchildren.
