Her husband, Martin "Mart" Singleton, preceded her about four and a half months ago, having departed this life Aug. 24, last. Mrs. Singleton's maiden name was Kelton. She was a daughter of William Henry Kelton and Nancy Kidd and came to this county with her parents when she was about seven years old from Tennessee, and a sister of Bill Kelton who is well remembered by all of the old settlers of this county.

Four of her six children survive her, John Washington Singleton, Martha Miller (3/1869) of this city and Rosetta "Rosa" Burkhead (1879) and Elvira Mandala "Della" Campbell (1875) both of Kansas City.
