Lafayette Kelton was married (legal and common-law) at least four times and as many as six. I would LOVE to hear from any DIRECT descendants who have information. Many times the mother's name on his descendants death certificate was actually their stepmother's name so it's very hard to follow which child was born from which mother. The date of his death is also not supported by a death certificate, indicating he probably died quickly.

He is known to have passed in a gene for pancreatic cancer to some of his children and descendants. He probably died from the disease. The disease has tun through four generations of the of descendants of Wlliam Henry Kelton.
