God in his wise judgment has called another bright jewel from earth to the other world after a lingering illness of many weeks, Mary A., wife of Wm. M. Miller, of this city, died at her home in this city on Friday evening Nov. 4th 1898. About five weeks before she took down sick with an abcess in her right side, from which, after a great deal of suffering she died. She was the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Singleton, and was the first death in that family. Mary Miller was born in Benton township March 28th 1867 and at her death was 31 years, 7 months and 7 days old. She was a dutiful daughter, a kind and affectionate wife and mother. She was the life and mainstay of her younger sisters - always cheerful and obliging. She was a good neighbor and friend and will be greatly missed by everyone in Ava. She leaves a husband and one child, Charlie, a bright little lad of about 10 years. The relatives have the heartfelt sympathy of everyone in Ava.
